Michael Fotopoulos is the Principal of Delta Engineers, LLC and has been practicing structural engineering design for the past 36 years. He is experienced with the design of commercial, institutional, industrial and government buildings. Mr. Fotopoulos has designed structures using static, as well as, dynamic analysis and is knowledgeable in the advantages and limitations of structural systems and materials such as steel, masonry, wood, and light gauge steel. He is also experienced with assessing the structural condition of existing structures. Mr. Fotopoulos is proficient with the newest three dimensional structural software (RISA 3D bundle) which provides efficient and economical structural design. He believes that structural engineering is the means, not the ends, to achieving a successful architectural design.

After years of hearing about beams, columns, moments, and shears, Effie decided to see for herself what the engineering world was all about. She attended the school of engineering at Virginia Tech and has been working with Delta Engineers, LLC since 2012. She has done work on residential, commercial, churches, industrial, and higher education/k-12 schools. Effie has design experience with wood, steel, masonry, and concrete and utilizes the three-dimensional RISA software bundle (RISA Floor). She also has drafting experience with AutoCAD LT and CorelCAD and preforms structural markups with Bluebeam to help with architectural coordination. Knowing that Building information Modeling (BIM) is the future in construction, she is in the process of learning REVIT 2022.
